KPMG Meijburg has launched a Beta version of an EU Tax Law app that contains all the rulings (including opinions) from the Court of Justice of the EU for Direct Tax, VAT and Social Security Tax, pending cases, Treaties and Directives. The rulings and opinions are published in all available languages and are tagged with meta data based on an EU Tax Law Taxonomy. This enables quick searching as well as filtering the cases based on key topics. You can subscribe to pending cases, which means that you will be informed when new content is available for a pending case. No need anymore to go to the website of the CJEU as the new content will be pushed to you immediately.

You can use the app on a free trial basis until 1 December 2014. For this purpose you will need a special access code. Click here to apply for one.

You can install the app with this access code on three devices, so you can use it on both iPhone and iPad simultaneously and you have one spare in case you get a new iPhone or iPad.

How to download and install the app?

  1. Go to the Apple app store with your iPhone or iPad and type in the search bar the words: eu tax law.
  2. You will then see the EU Tax Law app. Download and install the app.
  3. Then launch the app. You will be asked to enter the username and you will see an alert that you have to swipe your finger over the screen (top to bottom of your screen). This is to trigger a refreshment of the data. Do this firmly otherwise your screen will remain empty. This is only a one time exercise; this will not be necessary the next time you use the app. You are now ready to go!

A short user manual, which can be downloaded here, explains you how the app works and gives you further background of some powerful features that have been incorporated. For further information, please contact Robert van der Jagt vanderjagt.robert@kpmg.nl.
