Mathijs joined Meijburg & Co in 2004. He is a specialist on VAT and real estate transfer tax. His clients operate in the chemical, manufacturing, trade, fashion, food and automotive industries, and the financial services and electronics sector.

Mathijs advises on the compliance aspects of national and international VAT issues, and the VAT consequences of national and international transactions. He has experience with ERP systems (automated VAT transaction processing systems) and the management of tax risks and opportunities.

Mathijs is a regular speaker at seminars and is an instructor for courses on international VAT. He has been a member of the tax knowledge groups Tax Efficiënt Supply Chain Management (TESCM) and Tax Accounting & Control Services (TACS).
