Since 2008 Thomas has worked as a VAT specialist at Meijburg & Co in Amstelveen. He advises on national and international VAT issues, including from a compliance perspective.

Thomas focuses in particular on the VAT aspects of mergers and acquisitions and on the overlap between VAT and process and technology (P&T). His P&T work is many and varied and ranges from assisting businesses with their Tax Control Frameworks, using random sampling to prepare internal reviews, advising on the use of TIS (KPMG’s Tax Intelligence Solution, a data analysis tool focusing on VAT) up to assisting with the design of an ERP (SAP) system.

Besides his work as a VAT specialist, Thomas is also a member of Meijburg & Co’s Tax on Games of Chance market group. He also co-authored the NDFR Tax on Games of Chance encyclopedia. Thomas regularly writes articles on various VAT topics.
