Immigration

The application for a residence and/or work permit is usually an important first step in international postings. But it is not only this step that determines how quickly your employee can take up their new position abroad. How your employee experiences this process (their ‘employee experience’) is also influenced to a significant degree by whether the process is carried out professionally and the time it takes to complete the process. And that’s something that is by no means straightforward. Immigration laws are complex and change rapidly. Inspections by immigration authorities are now more common and the penalties imposed if an offense is detected can be substantial.

Our immigration specialists make every effort to ensure the first step in posting your employees abroad proceeds as smoothly as possible, despite the complexity of legislation and regulations and the applicable procedures. We help you and your employees obtain the right visas and work and residence permits as well as helping to determine which visa categories apply. We also provide advice on immigration matters and processes. We use KPMG LINK Technology to help us in this. Our worldwide KPMG network of immigration specialists is also there to provide any help needed.
