The boundaries between humans and technology are blurring. This impacts the ways in which companies can be successful and how employees can contribute to this success. Companies face the challenge of including their employees in this process. To do this, they will have to adapt their HR strategy and the way in which they motivate and inspire their employees.

Trends in employee remuneration

New trends in current employee remuneration strategies are already evident. There is more flexibility and room for changes based on personal situations. For example, employees are increasingly being offered options for leave and mobility, and there is a focus on themes such as lifestyle, education, well-being and vitality. A modern remuneration policy, including a state of the art pension plan, offers employers a unique opportunity to excel in recruiting talent.

Share-related remuneration and management participation plans

In order to improve employee commitment to your organization and have them directly or indirectly participate in the company results and the growth of the company, it is worth considering including a form of share-related remuneration in your remuneration policy. This will set the tone for a productive and motivated work environment and will give your employees the feeling that they are making a valuable contribution.

Is there an acquisition, merger or joint venture? Don’t forget that the legal and tax aspects of such transactions may also affect your company’s remuneration packages and incentive programs.

Equal opportunities and respect at work

Modern remuneration policies also focus on offering equal opportunities and respect to employees, regardless of who they are. Companies with an equal pay policy will not only create more honest and inclusive interaction, but such a policy will also act as an incentive for employees to become more committed to the company.

Making employment conditions green

A growing awareness about the impact of corporate activities on the environment and society means that ‘green’ employment conditions play an important role in designing a future-proof remuneration policy. For example, traditional forms of remuneration can be replaced by sustainable options, such as using environmentally-friendly transport, contributing to green energy projects and/or facilitating environmental protection measures.
