Eduard has been working at Meijburg since 2001 and has amassed nearly 40 years of experience in the tax world. He is mainly involved with assisting in projects in the area of transfer pricing planning and documentation, as well as managing transfer pricing controversies. In this capacity, Eduard has assisted numerous multinational clients in designing and implementing their global, European and Dutch value chain management (VCM)/transfer pricing processes and has successfully helped them defend their transfer pricing policy before the Dutch tax authorities. He also has a lot of experience in obtaining rulings and unilateral Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs). He mainly advises companies in the banking & finance sectors, the chemical industry, corporate clients and those operating in the digital economy.

Eduard’s strengths are his in-depth knowledge and extensive experience, combined with excellent contacts with tax authorities and his global KPMG GTPS network. He is proud of having concluded the first multilateral Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) for the Netherlands with the UK, France and Belgium, as well as numerous bilateral APAs with the US. He has also successfully resolved double taxation disputes in Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs) with various countries. 

Eduard is a frequent contributor to tax journals and publications, including BNA’s Transfer Pricing Journal, the Tax Management Transfer Pricing Report and the International Tax Review. As a result of his work, he has been named as one of the leading Dutch transfer pricing specialists in the Guide to the World’s Leading Transfer Pricing Advisors every year since 1999.

Eduard holds a degree in Tax Law and International Tax from Leiden University and is a member of both the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB) and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).
