Sebastiaan began his career at Meijburg in 2012. He specializes in corporate income tax, international tax law and tax strategy. Sebastiaan advises among others corporate clients with a head office in the Netherlands, with his focus being on complex issues confronting their tax teams and international tax strategy. He also has wide experience with legal entity rationalization, tax due diligence and deal structuring in a multinational context. His main clients are active in the oil and gas industry, the shipbuilding industry and the private equity sector.
One of Sebastiaan’s strengths as specialist is that he is always acutely aware of the latest law developments. Corporate tax consultants and finance teams also regard him as a valuable sparring partner for complex tax issues. He also excels in project management in an international context, working effortlessly with multiple teams from different countries. Moreover, he is adept at translating complex tax concepts into understandable information.
Sebastiaan gains gains a lot of satisfaction from training young tax consultants so that they can progress in their career. He is proud of his secondment to a Dutch tax team of a large oil company and of his role as lead of Meijburg’s corporate tax consultant network in Rotterdam where he fulfills an important role in maintaining and managing that network/our clients. Furthermore, he is a key figure within the NL-Africa tax desk.
