Valentijn Kuperus
Valentijn has been a member of the VAT team at our Rotterdam office since 2015. He specializes in indirect tax/VAT within the digital economy, with his main focus being online platforms and the travel sector. Valentijn also has extensive experience with advising and litigating on the application of reduced VAT rates.
Many of his clients operate globally and are affected by the rapid emergence of indirect taxes specifically aimed at the digital economy. His involvement in this area means Valentijn is very active in the international KPMG network to ensure he stays abreast of relevant developments. Valentijn is also a member of the European KPMG Travel, Leisure & Tourism group and in that capacity keeps a close eye on international developments in that sector.
In addition to advising established companies, Valentijn is keen to help start-ups and scale-ups set up their VAT processes.
Education and memberships:
- Member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB)
- Valentijn attended Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, graduating with degrees in Tax Law, Law and Business Studies.
