Ernst-Jan began his career at Meijburg in 2006. With nearly twenty years of experience, he is now a leading specialist in national and international corporate tax. He advises both SMEs and multinationals in this area.
Ernst-Jan’s expertise covers the entire maritime sector, from merchant shipping and dredging companies to offshore construction firms and commodity traders. He has a special connection with Brazil, where many of his clients are active. Ernst-Jan excels at advising on tax incentives such as the tonnage regime and tax lease structures, and is an authority in areas such as wage tax reductions for seafarers and the tax treatment of offshore installations.
With his entrepreneurial spirit, Ernst-Jan is an active sparring partner for his clients. He proactively informs them about new opportunities and developments and encourages collaboration by connecting clients. In addition to his advisory work at Meijburg, he is active within the KVNR (Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners) and the KPMG Shipping & Offshore network.
