We are excited to invite you to our European transfer pricing webcast on financial transactions, including treasury centers and cash pooling arrangements, taking place on May 15, 2025.

Following the release of Chapter X on financial transactions, as included in the OECD’s Transfer Pricing Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and Tax Administrations, along with some notable court cases, we have seen significant developments across Europe. Also factoring in recent developments on the financial markets, there has been an increased need for multinational enterprises to review and update their approach to current and future intra-group financing arrangements.

In particular, tax authorities are focusing in detail on treasury centers and cash pools, including the substance of such locations, with local transfer pricing guidance being updated and published, placing additional focus on the treatment of these transfer pricing arrangements.

We have extensive experience with the transfer pricing challenges that multinational businesses have with respect to financial transactions, including treasury centers and cash pooling arrangements. Therefore, we are hosting a comprehensive 1-hour webcast where our experts from the Netherlands, Germany, Luxemburg and the United Kingdom will offer practical insights and strategic guidance for navigating this evolving landscape.

What to Expect: treasury centers and cash pooling arrangements; an ever changing landscape

  • An overview of the current interest rate environment and some of the challenges we are seeing multinational enterprises experience.

  • Overview of treasury centers and how economic substance is approached in local European jurisdictions.

  • Approaches to pricing cash pooling arrangements; focusing on pricing transactions, sharing economic benefits and the related reward for treasury centers.

  • Common focus areas we are seeing from tax authorities with respect to treasury centers and cash pooling arrangements.

We will be joined by our colleagues Igor Zinger, Henrik Hansen, and Marc Oliver Birmans
