We will explain what VCA is, how it can help you support and defend TP strategies and we will demonstrate the use of the KPMG VCA tool. We will also discuss two recent tax audit cases where VCA was used and proved successful.

Jeroen joined KPMG Meijburg & Co in 2011 after having worked at one of the other Big Four tax advisory firms. He has extensive experience in helping clients with business restructurings and transfer pricing, in particular when functions and assets are transferred cross-border, there is risk shifting, or new investments are made. Jeroen helps clients to mitigate their tax-related risks and to comply with their national and international obligations. He develops tax strategies for setting up international operational structures as part of the structuring/restructuring process.

Erwin joined the Transfer Pricing team of Meijburg & Co in Rotterdam in 2018. He advises relatively large clients in a range of industries on business restructurings, value chain optimization and transfer pricing implementation. Erwin focuses on the energy sector and has over 15 years’ professional experience as a tax and transfer pricing professional, ten of which he gained in the tax and transfer pricing practices of KPMG and EY. The other five years, he worked as an in-house tax and transfer pricing specialist at Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC). In 2008, Erwin spent six months on secondment in Chicago (USA) for EY. Erwin holds a master’s degree in fiscal economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB).
