Proud to be declared “Best of the Best” in the area of Tax Law for the Netherlands

Wilbert Kannekens, managing partner of KPMG Meijburg & Co, was recently named the "Best of the Best 2019" in the area of Tax for the Netherlands by the international specialist guide Expert Guides. The "Best of the Best" edition compiles the 30 globally considered top practitioners in 19 practice areas of law.

The results of this professional guide were obtained on the basis of a survey that was published worldwide among more than 4,000 legal professionals from more than 90 jurisdictions. They were asked, among other things, to appoint leading practitioners based on their work and reputation. Profile of Wilbert Kannekens

Wilbert Kannekens is a tax lawyer with more than 25 years of experience in international and national taxes. He has a great deal of expertise in the field of corporate tax, merger & acquisitions and corporate restructuring. Wilbert worked for public and private sectors in the fields of electronics, consumer goods, chemicals and oil and gas. He is currently the managing partner of KPMG Meijburg & Co. He previously served as the global head of KPMG International Tax Group and as chairman of the Dutch Association of Academic Tax Advisers (NOB). Kannekens is regularly approached by companies, funds and governments to advice on strategic tax issues.
